Deciding things early
Deciding well takes clear thinking, and clear thinking is exactly what a psychedelic experience can make harder, for a while. This is not a flaw in you. It is a predictable feature of the state itself.
One thing that reliably survives a state where deliberation is hard: a plan made in advance, in the specific form of “if this happens, then I do that.” Research on implementation intentions — plans made ahead of time in an if-then structure — has found they help people follow through on things they decided in a calmer moment, precisely because the decision itself has already been made. There is nothing left to figure out in the moment, just something to recognize and act on.
That is the whole idea behind the Sheet: a place to write your own if-then plans, your contacts, and what “handled” means to you, before you need any of it. It saves nothing — you print it, and the paper does the holding.
Open the Sheet when you’re ready to fill one out.
