The urge to act on it
Sometimes a psychedelic experience leaves a strong pull to do something right away — quit a job, end or start a relationship, move, make a call you’ve been avoiding, tell someone something big. The pull can feel completely clear and urgent.
It might be right. Some decisions that surface this way turn out to be ones a person had already been circling for a long time, and the experience just made the shape of it visible.
It’s also worth knowing that a state of unusual clarity and a state of good judgment aren’t always the same state. Waiting a few days before acting on something large doesn’t erase it if it’s real. If the pull is still there next week, it’s still there next week.
This isn’t a rule against acting. It’s a suggestion that urgency itself isn’t proof of rightness, and that a few days of ordinary life is a cheap way to find out which one you’re looking at.
