Wait before big decisions

After a psychedelic experience, people sometimes feel a strong pull to act immediately — end a relationship, quit a job, move somewhere new, or tell everyone they know that they have to try this too.

The integration literature is unusually consistent here: it advises against major life decisions in the days and weeks right after an experience. The feeling of certainty is part of the experience’s weather, and weather passes. If a change still looks right in a month, it will still be available in a month.

You may want to consider writing down what you want to change and why, with the date. If it still holds later, you will have a head start on doing it well.
