Writing as an ongoing practice
Writing things down is recommended by nearly every integration guide, from clinical protocols to harm-reduction organizations. In one survey of 608 people with extended difficulties after psychedelic use, 11% named journaling as helpful — self-report again, and there are no psychedelic-specific trials of expressive writing.
There is no correct form. Some people write freely for ten minutes. Some record dreams in the days after. Some write a letter they never send. If you want a private place, your notes live on this device and go nowhere else.
You may want to consider writing only what happened and how it felt, and leaving what it means alone for now. Meaning tends to be more useful when it arrives on its own.
